About me

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor and EMDR psychotherapist with a Master’s in Counselling Psychology, supporting clients across British Columbia through secure virtual sessions.

Born and raised on the Sunshine Coast, BC, I  now live in Vancouver with my partner, child, and black cat. I am a former single-parent, a former correctional worker, and very much aware of how overwhelming life can be. My work is rooted in the belief that healing is possible. Not just symptom relief, but the deep, steady kind of change that reshapes how you feel, think, and move through the world.

My therapeutic approach blends EMDR with attachment-based therapy and mindful self-compassion. Together, these frameworks help the nervous system recalibrate, old patterns release, and new capacities emerge.

There is good reason behind why I am specializing in EMDR therapy. Clients often describe EMDR as a turning point; finally making sense of experiences that once felt confusing, overwhelming, or stuck. I’ve seen again and again how this process opens space for clarity, strength, and a renewed sense of self - both for myself, and for others.

My Background

Before becoming a therapist, I spent over a decade working on the frontlines in federal corrections, and later supporting survivors of Military Sexual Trauma (MST) through the Sexual Misconduct Support and Resource Centre with the Department of National Defence. These years shaped my understanding of trauma, resilience, and the complex systems people move through. They also deepened my commitment to trauma-informed, non-pathologizing care.

Clients often tell me they appreciate my authenticity, calm presence, and sense of humour.

If you’re looking for an EMDR therapist who can hold depth with warmth, and who genuinely believes in your capacity for transformation, I would be honoured to work with you.

How I practice

I strive to create a therapeutic space that feels grounded, human, and collaborative. You bring your lived experience and your wisdom; I bring evidence-based tools, curiosity, and a steady presence. As we work, we’ll explore the stories your body and mind carry, reconnect you with what matters most, and build the inner resources that help you live the life you want.
